A forest home to many rare and endangered species, created out of desert-like wasteland. Now spread over a 40 hectares and forms a rich forest in Pondicherry. A place for rare and endangered animals and home to around 260 species of flora and fauna and comprises regenerated dry evergreen forest, pristine ravines and man-made water bodies.
Outdoor Being aims at curating immersive travel experience in all possible ways. Forest hike will aim to introduce you to the world of tropical deciduous evergreen forest in Pondicherry. This is a man made forest in the making since 22 years. Our visit to this place will give us a sense of plant species and wildlife present in this beautiful forest located in the midst of the city.
Documented species
Peacocks, porcupines, snakes and birds make up the fauna of this forest. A pair of the Great Horned Owl.
